What are the symptoms of stroke?
* Sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg on one side of the body
* Sudden difficulty speaking or understanding spoken language
* Sudden loss or blurring of vision, in one or both eye
* Sudden confusion
* Dizziness, unsteadiness or a sudden fall, especially with any of the other signs
* Sudden severe headache with no apparent cause
Why act FAST?
Stroke strikes every five minutes in the UK. It can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. There is no way of knowing if symptoms will pass or get better when they first start, so you need to seek immediate medical help. A stroke is a medical emergency. Always dial 999. The quicker the person arrives at a specialist stroke unit, the quicker they will receive appropriate treatment.
It is critical that treatment is given quickly, to limit the impact on the brain.
If you suspect a stroke,
act FAST and call 999

NOTICE TO PATIENTS re. Requesting Repeat Prescriptions
As part of our commitment to offer patients a more enhanced online service, we withdrew the facility to request repeat prescriptions directly from our surgery website at the end of July 2018.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused in removing this facility, however this service and more is now provided on an alternative secure website which once registered will enable you to book GP appointments, request repeat medication, view the status of any medication requests and will also give access to some aspects of your medical record.
Please either click on the link below for a registration form or collect a form from Reception.
